Check out some examples of Sandhi and it come's under the category Malayalam Grammer. There are basically two genres of Sandhi used in Malayalam Language. One group unique to Malayalam, and other one common with Sanskrit. They called, "Malayala Sandhi" and "Samskrita Sandhi" respectively. There are basically four Sandhi types unique to Malayalam, they are Lopa Sandhi, Dvita Sandhi, Agama Sandhi and Adesa Sandhi.
Lopa Sandhi or Rule of loss occurs when the varna at the end of a word is lost when it merges with another word. In Dvita Sandhi or Rule of doubling, when two words combine in which the first is the qualifier and the qualified. In Agama Sandhi or Rule of arrival, when two vowels combines, a consonant arrives extra to avoid the pronunciation difficulty. In Adesa Sandhi or Rule of substitution, one letter is substituted by another during concatenation.
